The public will be transported to the musical universe of the queen of pop. A show to see and experience!

Dicaire vs Reynoso

The Casino Lac-Leamy Theatre will host a Boxing Gala on October 25, part of the "Groupe Yvon Michel - GYM Boxing Series" featuring Marie-Ève Dicaire (8-0) against Argentina’s Yamila Reynoso (8-2-3, 7 K.-O.). Dicaire is currently ranked 4th at the WBA, 4th at the WBC and 5th at the IBF and hopes to compete in a world championship fight next year.

In the semi-finals, Montreal's Patrice Volny (8-0, 6 K.-O.) will face former super middleweight champion Manny Siaca (25-8, 20 K.-O). The Puerto Rican won the WBA belt following his victory over Anthony Mundine in May 2004 before losing it to Mikkel Kessler in his first defense fight. He also lost to Sylvio Branco and Danny Green.

Danyk Bertrand-Croteau (2-1, 1 K.-O.), Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse (3-1, 1 KO), Devin Tomko (3-0, 2 KOs) and Mladen Milijas (6-0, 6 K.-O.) will also be in action.

 Prog Story

The best of British rock-progressive of the 70's

You will hear incredible performance of songs from Genesis, Yes, King Crimson, ELP, Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd and Gentle Giant. Prog Story is an original concept recounting the best moments of British rock-progressive of the Seventies in music and images.

The production has formed a talented team of eight musicians and singers selected from the Quebec elite. Antoine Baril (drums), Christian Pacaud (bass), Gabriel Cyr (guitar), Jean-Philippe Major (voice), Gabriel-Antoine Vallée (voice and guitar), Alex Donati (Voice and guitar) and Mathieu Pilote (Voice, flute, saxophone).

The production also relies on the services of the talented musician and multidisciplinary artist, Daniel L. Moisan, as artistic director.

Prog Story will be a unique event where you will be taught the history of rock-progressive while offering you high-level musical flights with images and  exclusive interviews.

Following the great success of «Noir et Blanc» in 2002, Gregory Charles decided to give a new flavour to the concept, adding among others, his friend, the tenor Marc Hervieux.

The second version of the show will therefore focus on the palpable humour of Gregory and Marc and the complementary mastery of the music they possess. Together, they will revisit in their own way songs appreciated by all, favourites and classics, adding to each performance improvisation and musical surprises for our greatest pleasure.

Songs and narration mainly in French.

This performance picks from a vast repertoire of more than 200 songs, including little gems as well as huge hits, and presents them with a brand-new sound. With sixteen musicians performing onstage, no tribute to the Fab Four has ever been so harmonious and captivating.

Genesis Revisited, Solo Gems & GTR

Steve Hackett, Genesis's former guitarist and one of the most innovative rock musicians (he was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2010), is coming back at the Théâtre du Casino in Gatineau as part of his North American tour.

His new show will include Genesis classics co-written by Steve Hackett , such as Supper's Ready, Dancing with the Moonlight Knight, Fountain of Salmacis, Firth of Fifth and Musical Box. There will be songs heard less often like One for the Vine and Inside & Out. The part covering Steve Hackett's solo career will be a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the album Please Don't Touch. In addition, Hackett will play other old songs by Steve Hackett, GTR and his new album Night Siren.

Steve Hackett will be accompanied by Roger King (keyboards), Gary O'Toole (drums),  Rob Townsend (sax-flute), Jonas Reignold (bass, 12-string guitar) and Nad Sylvain (voice).

This rockabilly show celebrates the legendary Sun Records recording artists Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis & Johnny Cash.  The audience will get the feeling they’re a witness to a rock and roll royalty jam session with the music and talent that has stood the test of time. From Blue Suede Shoes and Hound Dog to Great Balls of Fire and Walk the Line the show energizes and exudes pure 1950s rock and roll.

The show opens with Carl Perkins performing his hits while offering up stories about life as a sharecroppers’ son and his musical influences.  Midway through his set Carl invites session musician Jerry Lee Lewis to join him where Jerry seizes the opportunity to front the band and lead the audience on a musical journey from New Orleans to Nashville and eventually into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.  As Jerry puts the finishing touches on a set including country music, gospel and Great Balls of Fire, the audience will have an opportunity to catch their breath as we welcome Johnny Cash to the stage, with his signature “Hello… I’m Johnny Cash”.  As his voice fades, the musical journey through Cash’s timeless catalog begins.  Next up…Elvis Presley.  Elvis electrifies the audience transporting them back to his beginnings where he went from driving a truck to delivering eleven #1 hits between 1956 -1959.

Presley, Perkins, Lewis & Cash!  It's a rockin' trip into the bowels of the south - an intimate musical session where the true spirit of rock lives again!
